Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith
Apostles Creed
Ecumenical Version
(Source: Wikipedia)

  We believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;

He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again;

He ascended into heaven,
He is seated at the right hand of the Father,

and He will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic (Universal) Church,

the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen

To the Apostle's Creed  we add the following:

  • We agree on the Basics and Agree to disagree on areas of conflicting opinion so as not to harm the body of Christ.

  • We recognize that, Almighty God works in our lives differently than in the lives of others, and welcome these differences.

  • We respect the sovereignty of Almighty God to do as it pleases Him in our individual lives and in the lives of all humanity.
  • We place full confidence in the authority God's Holy Word, the Bible,  God-breathed and living, as His tool for directing our faith through the Holy Spirit as He sees fit.

In Faith,
